IIISSS

IIISSS, Istituto Italiano Internazionale Studi Sport Società, was founded in 2019 on the basis of more than 10 years of activities in the field of the social role of sport conducted by the Centre for Policy and Research Territoria House and more than 40 years of experience of the founders in sports programmes and projects ranging from top-level competitions to the management of grassroots sports facilities, from national policies to European and international cooperation. 
The mission of IIISSS is to contribute substantially to the design and implementation of policies and programmes with the aim of building strong local communities through a strategic use of sport at the local level that aligns optimally with the 16 UN Sustainable Development Goals through the 17th Goal (Multistakeholder approach/Public Private Partnerships). Specific areas of focus are social inclusion, sport integrity, skills development, capacity building, local development and innovation. 

IIISSS works following a multi-stakeholder approach, forming long-term alliances with both international and local organisations, engaging in dialogue with academic experts, public and private sector entities, sports bodies and funders, SDP agencies and networks. It interacts and collaborates with the UN system and promotes international guidelines, conventions and resolutions. Promotes the application of a simplified methodology based on international guidelines, conventions and resolutions of UNESCO, UNODC and DESA.
